What gets encoded

If you enter a facebook.com or fb.com address, the code stores that URL unchanged, so numeric page IDs and group links also work. If you enter a username, the code contains https://www.facebook.com/<username>. Phones treat both as ordinary links. With the Facebook app installed, many phones open the page in the app; otherwise it loads in the browser, where some content may need a login. Groups and events can be linked by pasting their full URL.

Tips before you print

  • Use your page's custom username link rather than a long share URL with tracking parameters.
