Add an RSVP QR code to a wedding invitation

Set it up

1. Publish an RSVP form with date, guest-name fields and dietary questions; verify public access.
2. Paste its direct HTTPS link into the URL generator and export SVG.
3. Print a proof on invitation stock, scan without signing in, submit a test RSVP and remove that test response.

What to encode

Encode the direct guest-facing form URL, not the form editor link. If different households have personal links, use separate codes only when the personalization is necessary and managed carefully.

Print size and contrast

Start around 2.5–3 cm on a flat light panel with dark ink and a white quiet zone. Foil stamping, textured paper and pale pastel-on-pastel palettes reduce reliability.

Where to place it

Put the code by 'RSVP by [date]' on the details card, with a short URL underneath. Keep it away from folds, wax seals and envelope flaps.

Common mistakes

• Organizer-only form permissions block guests.
• A long form URL creates a dense pattern if printed too small.
• Do not let the RSVP close without an updated information page for late guests.

When to use a dynamic code

If the form provider or guest information URL may change before the event, a dynamic code lets you change that URL without reprinting invitations. A static URL is enough for a stable form; neither kind changes submitted guest responses.
