Make a Google review QR code customers can use
The goal is to open your actual Google review flow, not your business's map listing or a search results page. Verify the business Place ID first and never assume a similarly named branch is the right one.
Set it up
- Look up the exact location in Google's Place ID Finder and copy its Place ID, not its address.
- Enter that ID in the Google Review generator, download the QR image and scan it while signed out or on another phone.
- Confirm the review prompt names the right location, then print a small counter or receipt sign with a neutral invitation to leave feedback.
What to encode
The generator builds a Google review link from the Place ID. Put the place name and address in your printed caption so customers can see which branch they are reviewing.
Print size and contrast
Use a crisp black-on-white code about 3 cm wide for a receipt insert or counter card, with an intact quiet zone. Avoid tiny receipt printing on faded thermal paper.
Where to place it
Put the sign at checkout or in a post-service handout where customers have finished the experience. Keep the wording neutral; do not promise rewards or ask only happy customers.
Common mistakes
- A map navigation URL is not the same as a direct review link.
- Multiple branches often have different Place IDs.
- Test whether the prompt opens on both Android and iPhone before distributing cards.
When to use a dynamic code
Use a static review link when one location will keep the same listing. A dynamic link is useful for a rebrand or relocation if the destination changes after cards are printed, and provides scan analytics, not a count of reviews actually submitted. Compare plans before printing a large batch.

FAQ
Does a scan mean a review was written?
No. Scan counts show QR opens; customers may leave without posting a review.
Can I use the same code for several branches?
Each branch has its own listing and Place ID. Make and test a separate code for each.
